I have not been a blogger for long. I honestly do not remember exactly when I started my blog. I think I started blogging in August...
To be honest, till recently I never really enjoyed writing. A situation with one of my high school literature teachers made me believe I was a horrible writer.
Long story short, I had help from a tutor to write three papers on topics about The Scarlet Letter. I worked my bootie off to get these papers perfect, I meant they were a BIG percentage of our final grade! While everyone was getting their grade paper, I get an "oh I am still GRADING yours". Later she brought me aside asking if I could define a word from my paper, putting me on the spot and making me a stuttering fool. I knew something fishy was going on and I was not surprised when I was brought into the principal's office the next day. Apparently she accused my tutor (a registered teacher in two states) of spoon-feeding me my paper. She refused to grade it and I got a big old "it won't count against you" from the principle. From then on I sort of dreaded writing school papers, even in college.
One day while browsing through Google I stumbled upon a website dedicated to applying to review certain products.I originally was looking for freebies, but figured I could use a change in my boring routine. I signed up to the website and immediately created my blog. I quickly added a random review about one of the breast pumps I had, hoping that would be enough. I slowly worked at my blog and built it up to what it is now.
I was excited to be given the opportunity to try out the Style Writer 4 program. I am actually using it as I write this review!
The style writer 4 program helps writers improve their writing skills. All you have to do is type up your document and open style writer and upload. The document does not have to be saved yet and style writer will find it.

The program points out filler (glue) words, wordy phrases, and even prefers active words. Apparently it does not like how I write in the past tense. It highlights each area in a different color so it is easy to decipher everything. I was actually surprised it caught something I did not realize. I had unintentionally typed the wrong version of a word. I wrote principle instead of principal and style writer made a note about it. Thanks to style writer I immediately changed my error before I unknowingly published it that way!
I really enjoy using this product and feel that it has helped improve my the quality of my reivews.
You can find StyleWriter4 here.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
