I really enjoy reading Dan Jackson's books to my son. I love how they have great photos and are full of interesting facts. My son also enjoys the pictures, sometimes he insists on reading the book a second time before bed. This book is full of interesting facts about snakes.
I read this to my son a few nights ago, and he loved it! He favorite thing about the book was the pictures. I enjoyed reading this book to him. It is full of interesting facts like: "The English word snake comes from Old English snaca. This word means "to crawl". Snakes can be very long : The anaconda can be 7.5m (25 ft) and the python which can get to 9m (30ft). Snakes are carnivores, which mean they eat meat. There are around 3000 different species of snake." I also thought this was interesting: "There are a lot of snake’s color. This is the green smooth snake. Its also called “the grass snake”. We can find him in open woods and along stream edges. He is non-aggressive one." The book has great pictures like the one below.
My son really enjoyed this book and I plan on reading it to him again!
