Amazing Facts about Astronauts

This week has been a week of reading. I have been reading more books by myself and to my son Wyatt. My son and I really like reading Dan Jackson's books. They are full of great photos and interesting facts! These books are perfect for a bedtime story!

This book is all about astronauts. I learned quite a few new interesting facts reading this book to Wyatt!
For example, I never knew  that "“Astro” comes from a Greek word that means “star.” “naut” comes from the word “Nautes” which means “sailor.” To translate the exact terms from Greek, you would get star sailor." and I thought that this was interesting, "When astronauts are eating, their food could float around, since there is no gravity. Bread can not be eaten in space because the crumbs could get in their eyes, get in the lungs or damage equipment." I knew things floated in space but never thought that could happen!

My son really enjoyed all the neat pictures in this book. He liked the book so much, we read it a second time!

You can buy this book here and while you are there, check out Dan Jackson's other books! They are all very fun to read!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
