Yoga Design Lab - The Combo Mat
Lately I have been trying to stay healthy. I have been eating healthier, exercising, and even trying to maintain more of a "glass is half full" way of thinking.
When it comes to working out, I have been trying out many different exercises. For a while I had been going to a work out class and we did Beach Body. Beach Body consists of P90X, Hip Hop Abs, Insanity, and more! I also have been doing 5k runs, although I usually alternate between walking, speed walking and running.
So far, I have only needed a regular yoga mat for my work out routine. Recently, when I was looking up yoga classes, I ran into a site about HOT yoga. I did a little research about hot yoga and found the following information on Mayo Clinic's website.
"Hot yoga is a vigorous form of yoga performed in a studio that is heated to 105 F (40 C) and has humidity of 40 percent. The formal name for hot yoga is Bikram.
Bikram yoga is a 90-minute program that consists of 26 postures. The Postures require lengthy, forceful and well-controlled contractions of all major muscle groups. The demanding nature of the poses and the heat are designed to raise your heart rate and tire your muscles."
This yoga mat by Yoga Design is perfect for hot yoga! The bottom is a thick rubberized pad and the design is made out of a soft cloth. Why is it best to use with hot yoga? Working out in 105 degrees you will be sweating a LOT. The design of this yoga mat allows you to work out, but not slip and slide on this mat like you would with a regular yoga mat!
I have found a facility near me that does a beginner hot yoga class on Saturdays. Unfortunately, I have been so busy with preparing for college in January. Every time I thought about calling and making an appointment to go to the class, my week/weekend would get extremely BUSY!
Once I get the time, I will definitely be taking the beginner class. It sounds like a ton of fun!
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
