Childrens Book : Amazing Facts about SHARKS

Lately I have been utilizing my Kindle app on my phone. It makes it so easy to read on the go and I don't have to worry about losing a bookmark.

I also love to read to my son. He likes to look and point at the pictures and help me turn the page on my phone.

I not only love to read, but I love to learn new things. I also love all types of animals! Cats, dogs, birds, fish... even sharks! They are all so neat!

I recently received a book full of facts about sharks. I have not really read it to my son, but he really enjoyed looking at the photos.

I enjoyed learning quite a few pieces of information about sharks in this book!
For example, "There are 8 orders of Shark of which the Great White, the long-fin and Short-fin Mako, the Basking Shark, the Goblin Shark, and the Thresher Sharks, are members of Lamniformes. These sharks have large jaws and Ovoviviparous reproduction, which means the babies develop inside eggs within the mother shark’s body and then are birthed live."

I remembered hearing about those types of sharks giving birth to live pups. I never knew those 8 types of sharks were all the same type of shark, Lamniformes.

Not only did my son enjoy the photos, I also enjoyed them. They are really cool close up pictures of really cool looking sharks!
