Short book review time!
My son Wyatt is 2 and LOVES my phone and the ipod touch. Every night my hubbie and I either read Wyatt a book on my phone or listen to alphabet letter songs (from abc mouse) on the ipod touch.
This time I decided to read to him about penguins.
This book has some cool facts about Penguins! My son also really enjoyed the pictures of the many different types of penguins. They went well with the interesting facts in the book. Here are a few that i read! "There are no penguins at all at the North Pole." and "Most Penguin species lay two eggs. However, Emperor and King Penguins, the two biggest species, do not build nests at all and only lay one egg at a time."
There were a few things in the book I never even knew! For example, Penguins control their blood flow in order to reduce the amount of blood that gets cold, so that their feet don't freeze. How cool is that! Also, Penguins can see better under water. Makes sense because they dive for their food!
Even thought this book is short, my son has a shorter attention span... So I ended up reading this book in two sessions. Also he was extremely tired when I started reading to him and he fell asleep before I could finish reading the book.
We both enjoyed reading this book together.
