Kitchen Table Passport

Wow! It has been an insane past few weeks. I got sick, had final exams, then got sick again. I am actually STILL sick right now, I only feel good enough to function semi-normal! I am so so so behind with my blog it is not funny either! I should have written this review long ago! Anyways without further adieu!

I love trying new foods so when I found out about Kitchen Table Passport, I knew I had to try it. This is a neat monthly box with the concept of exploring the world through your taste buds.

Each box comes with discovery cards, a taste package (spices and recipe), and mementos.

I was actually extremely excited to find out I got Korea as my country. In my box I got lots of cards talking about their food, lifestyle, and much more! I even learned how to say different words in Korean on each card!

My mementos were a crispy seaweed treat (which my 2 year old daughter devoured, go figures!) and neat metal chopsticks!

The recipe I received was Dakbokkeumtang which is a spicy braised chicken. To be honest with me being sick, I have not had the time to get the ingredients for this recipe. It looks delicious though and as soon as I am 100% back to myself I will be doing so.

What I really liked about the recipe, was the fact it included the spices. Especially with a foreign recipe, it requires you to go to a specialty store. This sometimes makes it impossible or extremely pricey to make what your cooking.

I also like how they sent me a fairly easy to follow recipe. I have cooked ethic food before and the dishes I chose were super involved and took forever to cook. The simplicity of this dish is really nice!

The cool thing about this company is it has many options. You can choose one country and try it out, or make it a reoccurring monthly thing. Their full box with everything I received is $29.95/month.

You can also give this as a gift! With give a gift you can choose a country for $29.95, gift 3 months for 74.95 (which you save about $20 this way v.s buying 3 separate months), gift 6 months for 119.75 (which you save about $60 doing it this way v.s buying 6 separate months).

Finally if you just want to cook and could go without all the extras. There is also an option for you! There is a taste only monthly option for $9.95!

Like the idea of these amazing options offered? Head on over here to check them out!
